A new opinion piece in Education Week makes the case for sector-wide efforts to improve the profession of teaching, featuring work by a new coalition that includes Leading Educators, Teach Plus, Public Impact, Education Resource Strategies, and The Next Education Workforce at Arizona State University’s Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College.

Irene Chen and Stephanie Bonchero argue:

We need an alliance of district leaders, funders, and policymakers to support new and innovative staffing solutions and we need to make the policy reforms necessary to help them spread. Only then can we reimagine our long-held notions of the teaching profession.”Read the Article
