The 2024 election has been decided, and Republicans are expected to have unified control of the White House and Congress. As we transition toward the next administration, Leading Educators calls on all Americans to stay focused on what all students deserve, rooted in evidence of what works.

Every day, educators work alongside families and caregivers to ensure that no matter who their young people are, where they come from, or how much money their family has, they feel welcome and learn what they need for their next step and beyond. But there is still much work to be done.

Families send their students to school with hopes of what their children will learn and who they will become. We must ensure that our nation’s educators have the support systems to rise to those expectations in the face of tightening resources, rapidly changing workforce needs, and new societal dynamics. To do this, we must help school systems leverage research on how students learn, what teachers need to excel, and how systems improve to make strategic shifts and get life-changing results.

That is why Leading Educators has worked for the past 14 years to lift up and support educators in nearly 30 cities across the country to nurture excellent teaching in every classroom. We recommit to that charge.
