About Laura Meili

Laura Meili brings two decades of experience in teaching, learning, and research to her work at Leading Educators. As the Senior Vice President of Learning & Research, she leads efforts to understand the impact of professional learning to improve teaching and learning and to codify, share, and scale what works to support more students, teachers, and leaders.

Over 11 years at Leading Educators, Laura has led the redesign of programming focused on the Common Core State Standards, teaching and leading for equity, instructional leadership, and content cycles. She has supported significant student impact through LE's programs and partnered with internal and external researchers to understand, validate, and spread this impact to partners nationwide.

Before joining Leading Educators, Laura worked in the Office of Professional Learning at the Chicago Public Schools and started her career teaching reading and writing to middle school students on Chicago's south side.

Laura holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan and an M.Ed. in Literacy, Language, and Culture from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She lives in the Chicago area, where she spends her free time outside, with family and friends, or reading too many books at once.
