About Tyler Nakatsu
Tyler Nakatsu is a strategy and innovation leader with expertise in scaling social impact solutions. As a Senior Director of Innovation at Leading Educators, he shapes the organization's portfolio of digital products and services to drive instructional improvement in K-12 education.
Tyler joined Leading Educators in the spring of 2024. Before joining Leading Educators, Tyler served as director of communications at JFFLabs, the innovation lab of Jobs for the Future, where he was responsible for producing and executing strategic go-to-market campaigns for the organization's insights, incubation, and investment innovations. As a founding member of JFFLabs, he was instrumental in bringing new solutions and startups from ideation to national-scale social impact.
In previous roles, Tyler led digital campaigns with agencies, nonprofits, and startups, including Getting Smart, YouthBuild USA, and Palazzo Creative. He managed the development of digital storytelling projects for brand awareness and engagement in B2B marketing strategies, produced various media assets, and project-directed the creation and launch of publications, websites, and social media campaigns.
Tyler is a graduate of The Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University. He served on the advisory council for the Digital Marketing Certificate Program at the George Washington University School of Business and is currently an Ambassador for the Pragmatic Institute. Outside of work, Tyler enjoys spending time with his family and embraces his roles as a dad, dog dad, and husband.
