About Wendy Lee Haines
Wendy is a Senior Partner at New Profit, a venture philanthropy organization committed to catalyzing the impact of social entrepreneurs who are expanding access and opportunity in America. In her role, she provides strategic advising and capacity-building support to CEOs and boards in New Profit’s investment portfolio.
Wendy is a passionate advocate of social justice and educational equity. Prior to joining New Profit, she spent more than 15 years in leadership roles across the public, for-profit and nonprofit sectors. She was the Head of Strategic Programs on the Community Impact & Corporate Responsibility team at UBS where she oversaw the firm’s philanthropic programs in the Americas. Before that, she was a founding team member at New Classrooms, an education technology nonprofit, where she built the organization’s growth infrastructure, and was the Executive Director of Citizen Schools NY. Wendy also raised philanthropic capital for NYC public schools and began her career in marketing at American Express.
Wendy has an MPA from New York University and a B.S. in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She lives in New York City with her husband and two boys.
