About Alisha Watts Burr
Alisha Watts Burr is a teacher development specialist and educator driven by a love of learning and commitment to high-quality education for all students. As the Senior Director of Networks for our partnership with Charleston County School District (CCSD), Alisha leads a content design team in developing and delivering professional learning customized to the needs of CCSD teachers and students. In prior roles at Leading Educators, Alisha has worked with Tulsa Public Schools and District of Columbia Public Schools.
Before joining Leading Educators, Alisha was a special education math teacher and academic dean at Washington, DC’s highest performing charter middle school.
Alisha holds an A.B. in Psychology from Princeton University and a M.A. in Social Psychology from the University of Arizona. She lives in Maryland with her husband and two sons. Alisha enjoys spending time with her family, creating and enjoying good food, and traveling to sunny places.
