

About Tony Barrett
Tony has a passion for uplifting and empowering youth and those who work within community through life changing experiences.
Before joining Leading Educators, Tony has held various positions within education in Detroit, including multiple positions at different non-profit organizations, being a program coordinator at The University of Michigan while assisting first generation students though matriculation, and teaching as well as being a Dean of Students in at-risk schools throughout the city. He also spent time as a research assistant and social media consultant at Wayne State University. He was introduced to serving the community after joining a fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi Inc, during his time at UofM.
For fun, Tony likes to spend time with family and friends, listen to music and watch sports. He considers himself down to earth and welcoming to others. Tony is a Detroit native and holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan. Go Blue!
